The Emergency Room of the Legal System

MidPenn Legal Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that receives funding from many sources, both public and private, including community development block grants, bar associations, foundations, community organizations and individuals.

Major sources of funding:

  • Legal Services Corporation (LSC)
  • PA Interest On Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA)
  • Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN)
  • United Ways
  • Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)
  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

Do you qualify for services?

  • Based on household income
  • Domestic violence matters - eligible without regard to income
  • Call the local office to see if you are eligible
